Hi! I'm Stephanie, photographer and owner at Wildflower Lane Photography. I know choosing your wedding photographer can be overwhelming - there are so many of us to pick from. So I'm glad you are here!

I take on a very limited number of weddings each year, focusing primarily on intimate celebrations and couples seeking a more intentional, authentic experience. I’m drawn to calm energy, meaningful connection, and weddings that prioritize presence over performance. The best fit for my work is often a smaller guest list, a slower pace, and couples who value timeless imagery over trends.

My vibe: friendly, calm, and upbeat - I’m happy to take charge and keep things moving so you don’t have to worry about a thing. I live to be organized so you can actually enjoy your day. At the end of the day, I’m just your typical Nebraska farm girl who’s here to make sure your wedding stays stress-free and full of joy.

My background: born and raised right here in rural central Nebraska, and photography practically runs in my blood. I’m proud to follow in the footsteps of my father and grandfather, carrying on a family passion that’s been alive for generations. I earned my Journalism degree from UNK (Go Lopers!) and have spent the last 22 years behind the lens. With over 200 weddings under my belt, I’ve learned how to keep things fun, relaxed, and perfectly captured.

My favorite part of a wedding day:  It’s all about the JOY! As a rural Nebraska girl, I was raised to value community and serving others. Being able to document the happiness on your faces on the best day of your lives is genuinely my privilege.

How do I know how much time I will need for a photographer on the wedding day?

How much time are most couples doing?

Wedding Day Timelines are different for every wedding! Based on the size of your wedding party and family, the general flow of the day's events, length of ceremony, activities between and during the wedding and reception, whether you prefer to have a photographer present earlier in the day for the preparation stages (hair, makeup, etc.), travel time between locations, and how long into the reception you want a photographer there - each wedding is different. I'm happy to help create your wedding timeline!

That's what I'm here for! I totally get it—you’ve probably never planned a wedding before, and it can be overwhelming! But that’s why you hire someone who knows what they’re doing and enjoys answering any and all of your questions.

Do you travel? Are there travel fees?

I love to travel! I am based out of the Grand Island, Nebraska area.​ Wedding Day Travel within central Nebraska is included in all packages.

Where and when do we take our engagement pictures? How soon can you have them done?

Your golden hour (morning or evening) engagement session is at a location of your choice - or I can provide ideas and suggestions! Here is more information about taking your engagement pictures with Stephanie!

When is really up to you - depending on how soon you need your engagement photos, and what you plan to do with them, or if you have a particular season or time of year that you would prefer to have as a part of your photos. Sessions last around 30-45 minutes. I'll have your photos ready for you within a couple weeks!

What if we don't need or want engagement pictures?

It’s really awesome to get familiar with each other - so that when we see each other on your wedding day, it’s “So good to see you!” and not, “Hi, nice to meet you!” ​An Engagement Session with me is your chance to have professional photos of the two of you in non-wedding day attire, plus it's a great opportunity to become comfortable with your wedding day photographer (me!) before the big day. It's really helpful for all of us to get to know each other a little bit (and maybe have some inside jokes!) before your wedding day! As we shoot your engagement pictures together, you'll also become familiar with my posing and shooting style for the wedding day. If you prefer not to do engagement photos with me, we can work that out.

Should we do our pictures before or after the wedding? 

From a flow-of-the-day and timing standpoint, I recommend taking bride & groom and group photos before the ceremony. 

To give you the best experience and the most timeline flexibility, I specialize exclusively in weddings that feature a First Look. We will design that beautiful, private 'First Look' moment just for the two of you before the rest of our photos begin. It’s a wonderful chance to catch your breath, soak it all in, and see each other for the first time in a quiet, intimate setting. We can document this sweet moment on camera, or keep it completely private—whatever feels right to you.



In my experience, knocking out your photos ahead of time makes the whole day flow so beautifully! It gives everyone a chance to breathe, relax, and truly enjoy the moment. Plus, because we take care of the portraits early, your guests won't have to wait around after the ceremony—which means you get to head straight to the party and celebrate with your favorite people!

Why haven't I heard of you before or seen you at a bridal show?

Although I have been a wedding photographer since 2004, I work with only a small number of couples each year. I’m not trying to be the biggest photography studio in Nebraska — just the best one for you. I specialize strictly in weddings and engagements so that when your big day comes, you have a pro by your side who knows exactly how to handle every unique moment of a wedding. As of 2026, I’ve photographed 210 weddings and been in business for 22 years. I’m deeply grateful for the kind referrals from my past couples. I’m intentional about taking on a limited number of weddings each year so I can give every couple the genuine connection and personal experience they deserve.

I really love your work... but our budget is tight.

Money can be a hard subject to talk about, but this is a no-judgement zone. I understand everyone has budgets, bills, and loans to pay! I’m willing to hear you out if my packages aren’t in your price range. If you really love my photos, message me anyway! Let's talk budget and see if it will work. I know we are all just trying to live life - on a budget. At the end of the day, I want my clients to be happy. Period!!​​​

Do we get all our pictures? Can we print our own pictures, do we get a copyright release?

YES! All packages include all your finished, edited photos by downloading them from my Client Download Gallery.​ When your pictures are ready, I will send you a link to your gallery. This makes it easy to share your pictures with your family and friends, too!

What's your photography style?

My style is all about authentic, creative, romantic, happy, heartfelt, and natural. I truly believe weddings are such a joyful celebration, and my photos capture that energy! On your wedding day, I typically mix both traditional (posed) and photojournalistic/editorial (candid) shots, but if you’d prefer more of one over the other, I’m totally flexible!

My style is reflected in the photography on my website and social media platforms - all from REAL weddings I have had the privilege of capturing - the result of 22 years of experience, meticulous planning and attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to the unpredictable nature of a wedding day. It's so important to have an experienced professional who can navigate those moments with ease.

I like the candid/photojournalistic style, but will you also do our posed group formals?

Absolutely! With most weddings, group photos with your wedding party and family members are likely an important part of capturing your day. I'm happy to include both formal and candid/photojournalistic styles in your photos. We can also take additional photos at a local park, downtown, or other favorite location(s), if you like.

How many photos will we receive?

The number of photos you receive truly depends on the length of coverage and how much activity is going on. It's impossible to give an exact number - because every couple and every wedding day or session is unique! Check out my Client Download Gallery to see how each day is different!

How long before we get our pictures back? 

Please give me about 3-4 weeks to get your wedding photos ready. I’ll try to get them to you sooner if I can, but it really just depends on how busy things are at the time.

Do we need to give you a photo checklist for our wedding? Can we give you ideas?

I have a good idea of what should generally be photographed - and also want to capture your wedding day as it unfolds - but I also LOVE your ideas!

Will you give us suggestions on what to wear for our engagement photo session?

I sure can! Here is more information about your engagement session, including ideas for what to wear for your engagement pictures:

Can we order prints through you? Can you make us a book or album?

Absolutely! I use a pro lab that is really quick with your order, for prints on professional Kodak Endura paper in a matte finish. I can also make awesome hardback books, canvases, metal and wood prints, and more!

Do you edit and retouch our photos?

I edit every single photo I shoot for the best possible image! Minimal facial retouching, if necessary, is included in the editing of your main images, such as touch-up of blemishes, stray hairs, etc.

My editing style is true to the colors of the day, but I add a little flair to enhance the image. I promise you won’t be orange or super desaturated - that's not my style! I also love black and white when it adds that extra emotion. ​​

You might notice that not all of my pictures look the same. That's because I edit to the couple and their day - and every day is different. Lighting is different, colors are different, skin tones are different, indoors vs outdoors creates differences, backgrounds and textures and tones are different. No wedding is the same, so I edit accordingly.

If I'm available, a $1,000 Deposit with a signed Contract will reserve your date! 

After the deposit, then what do we owe you?

Your Remaining Balance (Total minus Deposit) is due 30 days before your wedding, and payments are welcome along the way!

Do we need to have a meeting? Or can we just take care of this ASAP!?

If you prefer to meet first, awesome! We can talk through your day, and I'll answer all your questions. There is no obligation to book - if it's a YES, then we'll go over a contract and get it done. We can meet in person, chat on a phone call or FaceTime/Zoom, or messenger, text or email.

I will send you a contract to fill out, then you can send it back with your deposit.
